OpenDot - a research and open innovation hub based in Milan - in collaboration with King's Health Partners, HIN - Health Innovation Network South London and NHS South East London Integrated Care System, launches a call to participate in a hackathon with the aim of supporting people with learning disabilities and their families/carers to live healthier lifestyles and adopt healthier diets, by bringing together a wide range of partners to create a positive step-change to improve health and reduce health inequalities.

Through this hackathon, you and your team will ideate and develop solutions to promote the adoption of healthier lifestyles through an educational approach, focused on addressing real-life challenges faced by people with learning disabilities.

The hackathon is an activity of the European project FEAST - Food systems that support transitions to healthy and sustainable diets (https://feast2030.eu/), which aims to facilitate the transition to a food system that is better for people and for our planet.

Participating in "Hack For Food, Hack for Good" means collaborating, co-creating, learning new skills in a creative marathon during which you will be helped by OpenDot designers and makers, international mentors from King's Health Partners and WHO Europe, partners of the FEAST project, and industry experts.

The teams will compete to develop a project concept, and win a two month prize of mentorship, prototyping in a fab lab, acceleration of the idea, and a series of prizes with value up to £4,000!
